Planned House Removals for Small and Mid-Sized Moves

TT Removals is the planned house-removals side of Craig’s business. Bradford and Halifax are co-equal cores, with regular coverage through Brighouse, Elland, Sowerby Bridge, Hipperholme, Huddersfield and the upper Calder valley. Wider West Yorkshire is covered as the outer area. The service is built around small and mid-sized moves where careful preparation matters more than claiming a large fleet.

Craig works with a second mover on every booked job and operates one Luton van. Some homes fit one journey; others need more than one run. The quote should reflect the inventory, the distance and the access at both properties, so the plan is clear before moving day.

The Quote Starts With What Is Actually Moving

“Two-bedroom house” is not a complete inventory. One property may be lightly furnished while another has a garage, loft and several large wardrobes. Send a room-by-room list, photographs of the biggest pieces and details of anything stored outside the main living areas.

Also describe both entrances. Bradford and Halifax have many stone terraces, sloping streets, steps and properties where the van cannot stop directly outside. Brighouse and Elland can include converted buildings and managed developments; Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Luddendenfoot can add steep or narrow approaches; Huddersfield flats may need lift or loading-point bookings. These details affect labour time and sometimes the number of journeys.

What Happens Before Moving Day?

  • Agree the full inventory and the addresses

  • Confirm stairs, lifts, parking and the likely carrying distance

  • Identify furniture that needs dismantling and reassembly

  • Decide what will travel with you rather than in the van

  • Set realistic timings around keys, completion and access

TT Removals does not offer packing. Boxes should be sealed, labelled and ready to lift before the crew arrives. Keep keys, documents, jewellery, medication and immediate essentials with you. Appliances must be disconnected, drained and prepared safely.

Moving Day With a Two-Person Team

Craig and the second mover load according to weight, shape and the order needed at the destination. At the new home, clear room labels help furniture and boxes go to the right place first time. The customer or a named representative should be available to confirm what is moving and where it belongs.

If keys are delayed, contact Craig as soon as possible. West Yorkshire routes such as the M606, M62 and A629 connect the main service areas, but a key handover or unavailable loading point can have more impact on the day than road distance. A realistic plan leaves less room for costly surprises.

Furniture That Will Not Fit Assembled

Suitable bed frames, tables and wardrobes can be dismantled and reassembled where this is discussed and included in the quote. Not every item is designed to come apart safely, and old or damaged flat-pack furniture can fail when disturbed. TT Removals will not promise reassembly before seeing what is involved. Read the furniture dismantling and reassembly service for the practical limits.

What Is Outside the Service?

There is no tail lift on the Luton van. Pianos, safes, machinery, very heavy stone items and anything requiring specialist lifting equipment must be declared and may need another provider. TT Removals does not provide electrical, gas or plumbing disconnection, waste clearance or a packing service. Being direct about those limits protects the customer and the crew.

Insurance You Can Describe Properly

TT Removals carries goods-in-transit cover up to £10,000 and public liability cover, subject to policy terms. Tell Craig about high-value, fragile or unusual items before booking and check that the declared load value is appropriate for the cover. “Insured” should never replace an honest conversation about what is being carried.

House Moves, Not Competing Local Collection Pages

TT Removals should be booked for a planned household removal or substantial part load. Bradford Man and Van is the same business’s dedicated option for quick local Bradford collections and very small moves. Keeping that boundary means customers reach the right service and each website has a genuine purpose.

Request a house-removal quote with the collection and delivery postcodes, moving date, complete inventory, photographs and access notes. Craig can then explain how the move fits the two-person team and Luton van.
